Description

In the course of making controller corrections or providing additional controller features it may be necessary to update the firmware in the controller. This is done with a Snap2Motion utility. Select File | Open Resources:

Navigate to the Utility Program folder and open the Flash Manager. There is a version number following the name Flash Manager. Select the Play button to start the Flash Manager. A small console will appear showing the current version of the controller:

Click on the Flash Manager button, click on the Update Firmware button, and navigate to the OCT (Object Code Text) file provided for the update"

Once chosen the firmware update procedure will proceed taking as much as 10 minutes to finish. At the completion of the process the controller will perform a software reset which will cause Snap2Motion communication to drop-out. This indication that communication has been lost is to be expected during a controller reset.
