Variable Current Mode

Command

<axis> VCM <on or off>

Description

Set Variable Current Mode reduces the current being driven in the stepper motor if the shaft deflection is low and the extra torque is not needed. This behavior is only available if tracking is on. If the current control mode is set to "fixed" then the reduction current will be used after the reduction delay regardless of shaft deflection. If the motor is not in tracking mode then fixed current reduction will be used regardless of this setting.
